Site access, templates and installation conditions
Where a job includes site templating, digital measuring, slab layout planning, cutting and fabrication, installation or aftercare advice, you must provide safe access to the work area. Cabinets, walls and floors should be ready for measurement and fitting, with appliances or fittings moved where needed.
Plastone is not responsible for delays caused by unsafe access, incomplete preparation, hidden structural defects or changes made by others after templating. Seams, joins and cut-outs are planned to suit the site, though small variations in wall or cabinet alignment may still influence the final result.
Care of engineered quartz and solid-surface finishes
Engineered quartz and solid-surface products need ordinary care to keep their appearance and function. Hot pots, abrasive scouring pads, harsh chemicals and direct impact can damage the surface or edge detail, especially near sink cut-outs and hob openings.
- Use chopping boards and heat protection as part of normal kitchen care.
- Wipe spills promptly, especially acidic liquids and strong dyes.
- Do not use blades or steel wool on the finished surface.
- Follow the aftercare advice supplied after installation.
